AusPost employs 35,049 full-time and part-time staff, operates 4,477 postal outlets, serves 1.10 million customers in its outlets every business day and delivers mail to 9.68 million addresses. In 2003/04, the organisation earned a record net profit of $371 million (up from $331 million in 2002/03) on earned revenue of $4.16 billion. AusPost offers one of the world’s lowest-cost letter services and also leads the world in terms of delivery efficiency and reliability. These results prove that quality community service and healthy commercial returns can be attained simultaneously.
